Samples and Quotes

Norman Binding will be pleased to send you free samples of our products. We will do our best to meet your sample needs. Please note that samples are limited to overruns from previous orders, so in some cases, we may not be able to send you the exact product sample you require.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are net 30 days. If an open account has not been previously established, cash payment, including cost, freight and overruns, must accompany first order.

Purchase Orders
We encourage you to transmit all orders to Norman Binding with a written or faxed purchase order stating complete specifications, current price, and our Quote Number, if applicable. If the job is a rerun, please furnish our old job number or your old Purchase Order Number.

Pricing Customer-Furnished Artwork
At the time of quotation, we make certain assumptions about the complexity of reproducing the graphics. We reserve the right to requote based on incomplete artwork or graphics whose production would likely exceed basic production rates (e.g. halftones, bleeds, heavy ink coverage or difficult registration). Pricing is based on customer furnished artwork that is camera-ready and color separated. Quoted prices do not include the cost of file editing, trapping or conversion. Proofs
We will fax you proofs of artwork on request at no charge. Printed proofs, ink proofs and pre-production proofs will be quoted based on the order specifications.

Overruns/Underruns
We strive to ship the exact quantity ordered, but because of the nature of manufacturing custom products, we may not ship the exact quantity. We reserve the right to ship 10% over or under the exact ordered quantity. Exact quantity shipping must be quoted and will require additional charges.

Shipping
All shipments are FOB factory. Unless you specify a particular carrier, we'll select a suitable carrier based on shipment size, weight and destination. We can give you fairly accurate shipping schedules, but standard delivery times are under the control of the freight carrier and may vary. If you need exact delivery dates, choose an express shipment, as the carrier will then guarantee delivery within a certain time period.

Drop shipments and split shipments
There is no charge for drop shipments to one destination. Split shipments may be made for an additional nominal charge. We will bill upon the first shipment if your order requires shipment on different dates. Drop shipments will go out under your company's name with a packing list from your company to the addressee. A copy of the packing list will be forwarded to you. If you prefer, send us your preprinted shipping labels and documents and we will complete them and attach them to the shipment.

Freight Claims
Goods lost or damaged in transit are the responsibility of the carrier. We will assist you in filing claims against the carrier on your behalf, but you must notify us within 10 days of delivery of your order (or delivery due date in the case of lost goods) so that we can give timely notice to the carrier.
